Studies of Higher Order Cognition, particularly Problem Solving; Metacognition and Strategy Development; Effects of Individual Differences and Personality on Cognition; Expertise in applied domains; Verbalisation in Problem Solving; Human-Computer Interaction; Psychology of Programming
Collaborations
Within the Department I have been working with Bob Hockey and Nick Shryane and to some extent with Peter Clough.
External collaboration has been with Kevin Sherman, consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
I have also been involved in some small projects with Humberside Police.
